Student Grading Criteria

All students must have current Licences

Students will be eligible to grade at the Chief Instructors discretion.

All students must complete at least 14 classes from the date of the last Academy grading not the last time they graded.

Students must be competent in Kihon basics, Kata and Kumite relevant for the grade
they are attempting.

All students should attend the pre grading course these are free of charge even if they are not eligible to grade. 4th Kyu (purple belts and above) must attend courses or they will not grade next time they are eligible to take the exam.

Black belts and first kyu grades must attend 3 courses before attempting any Dan / qualifications grades.

All students who meet the above criteria can grade up to six times per year 4th kyu (purple belts and above) must miss the next exam.
